Employee development service programs
These programs are in partnership with the Ysleta Independent School District (YISD) and the Canutillo Independent School District (CISD).
The EDS program focuses on training students whom have disabilities with soft skills and hard skills training. Some of these trainings include: interpersonal skills, how to deal with different attitudes and work behaviors, customer service skills, and how to manage a store. Our staff also assist students with the functional capacities to prepare to seek employment after graduating high school. In this store, students gain experience working in a retail setting and learn the different task required to running a retail store. With the help of YISD and CISD, Goodwill has incorporated a small fully functional store at YISD’s Transition to Life Career Center and also at CISD’s Canutillo High School. During the school year, the stores are open to the public Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am-4:00 pm. The stores are located at the YISD’s TLCC 7988 Alameda Ave, El Paso, TX 79915 and at CISD’s Canutillo High School, 6675 S. Desert Blvd, El Paso, Texas 79932.
